2D+3D Design and Motion Graphics Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking for a talented and driven 2D & 3D Design and Motion Graphics Specialist to serve as a creative force across a wide range of meaningful assignments. This role demands exceptional adaptability and creative agility to craft compelling visual narratives that resonate across diverse audiences and platforms. You will work closely with a professional team of strategists, data-driven analysts, lobbyists, and capacity developers to ensure creative solutions align with Sohubox’s holistic, impact-driven approach. Your creativity will be essential in translating complex insights and data into visually striking storytelling that drives social change.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design, and produce high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics, animations, infographics, and data visualisations for video, web, social media, publishing, and live/virtual events; adapt style and approach to varied project needs.
• Provide art direction to ensure visual consistency and high aesthetic quality across all creative outputs.
• Manage the entire creative lifecycle (“cradle to grave”) including storyboarding, asset creation, animation, rendering, editing, publishing, and delivery.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of strategists, analytical experts, advocacy specialists, and capacity builders to deliver content that merges creative impact with data-driven insights and advocacy goals.
• Integrate generative AI tools and cutting-edge technologies to enhance creative output and efficiency.
• Optimise content for multiple platforms, ensuring mobile-first and offline-capable delivery when required.
• Maintain digital asset libraries and ensure quality and version control.
• Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, digital publishing, and visual communication innovations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 7 years of professional experience as a versatile creative in 2D & 3D design, motion graphics, infographic design, graphic visualisation, and digital publishing, ideally within leading creative agencies or digital-first environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating adaptable storytelling skills across multiple formats, including infographics and data visualisation.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with art direction and maintaining visual brand integrity.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools in creative workflows.
• Proven project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams combining strategy, analytics, advocacy, and capacity development.
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural agility to work in diverse, multicultural environments.
