Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager / Senior Accountant to join our team in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the Bank, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the financial records of the Bank, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including IFRS and Nigerian accounting standards.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to management on financial performance and trends.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
• Supervise and train junior staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA or ACCA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
