Agricultural Economist at the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics

The Uganda National Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) is a national government agency responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of statistical data. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Economist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the National Agricultural Statistics Programme (NASP) and other related programmes. The Agricultural Economist will work closely with the Programme Manager and other stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate agricultural statistics projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in agricultural economics, statistics, and data analysis. S/he should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Agricultural Economist will be based in Kampala, Uganda, and will be required to travel occasionally to other parts of the country.
