Construction of 10 New Secondary Schools in 8 Districts in 5 Lots under USEEP - Batch 8

The Government of Uganda received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of implementing the Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of 10 New Secondary Schools in 8 Districts in 5 Lots under USEEP - Batch 8. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.

The Ministry of Education and Sports now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for construction of schools indicated in the table below:

NB: The period required for construction is 10 months excluding defects liability period.

Bidding Process

Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers-dated July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018, and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bids must be delivered to the address below under (9) on or before 11.00am of 28th May, 2026. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below under 9 at 11.15am on 28th May, 2026.
