Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Collectors to collect data from previously trained entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, recording, and reporting data on the entrepreneurs’ business progress, challenges, and successes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys and interviews: Conduct surveys and interviews with previously trained entrepreneurs to collect data on their business progress, challenges, and successes.
- Collect and record data: Collect and record data on entrepreneurs’ business performance, including revenue, employment, and market trends.
- Verify data accuracy: Verify the accuracy of collected data and ensure that it is complete and consistent.
- Report findings: Report findings to the program management team, highlighting trends, challenges, and successes.
- Maintain confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality of all data collected and ensure that it is stored securely.
- Collaborate with the program team: Collaborate with the program team to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for future program development.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Education: Diploma in the field of entrepreneurship, business, economics or statistics, social sciences.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in data collection, research, or a related field and he/she must be staying in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Language: Fluency in English and local languages used in the settlement and the host community (Swahili, Kinyabwisha and/or Rutooro/ Runyankore).
- Must be a resident of Kyaka 2 or Kyegegwa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with school going children and youth entrepreneurs or small business owners.
- Knowledge of business operations, including finance, marketing, and management.
- Experience working with refugees and in hard-to-reach areas.
