Director, Community Health Systems Strengthening

We have multiple openings for Director, Community Health Systems Strengthening in Malawi.

The Director, Community Health Systems Strengthening will lead the development and implementation of community health systems strengthening strategies and programs in Malawi. The Director will work closely with the Country Director, Ministry of Health officials, and other stakeholders to design and implement community health systems strengthening programs that improve the quality and accessibility of primary healthcare services in Malawi.

The Director will also provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to strengthen community health systems and improve the delivery of primary healthcare services in Malawi. The Director will be responsible for leading a team of technical experts and will work closely with other departments within Last Mile Health to ensure that community health systems strengthening programs are integrated into the overall country strategy.

The Director will also be responsible for developing and managing budgets, monitoring and evaluating program progress, and reporting to stakeholders on program results.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of community health systems strengthening strategies and programs in Malawi
• Work closely with the Country Director, Ministry of Health officials, and other stakeholders to design and implement community health systems strengthening programs
• Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to strengthen community health systems
• Lead a team of technical experts
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor and evaluate program progress, and report to stakeholders on program results

Requirements

• Strong understanding of community health systems strengthening and primary healthcare delivery in low-resource settings
• Experience working with governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to design and implement community health systems strengthening programs
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of technical experts and work effectively with other departments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong understanding of the Malawian health system
