To provide strategic leadership and oversight in Planning, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (PRM&E) to drive the commission's objectives forward
Coordinates the formulation of media policies and regulations of the commission
Coordinates the preparation of plans and strategies of the commission
Provides advice on various services, policies, programmes, systems, processes, procedures, capacity building, security, projects and strategies
Ensures the development of performance targets and indicators that are in tandem with expected goals and objectives of the commission
Oversees research grant programs and evaluate with effectiveness and impact to deliver outcomes which can be applied for the benefit of the media industry
Provides high-level research advice and expertise to the implementation
Ensures availability of effective research, monitoring and evaluation framework, systems and tools in the commission
Collaborate with relevant national organisations and institutions for the collection and analysis of data and operational information for the development of plans for the commission
Coordinates the activities of the division
Reviews and assesses the economic impact of media policy framework, regulations and identify gaps for effective redress
Coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of policies, programmes and projects
Ensures the maintenance of a comprehensive database for the commission
Supervises the preparation and submission of annual, quarterly and other periodic reports of the commission
Ensures the implementation of performance management policy in the division
Requirements/Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields, statistics, mathematics, project management, business administration computer science and economics or other related disciplines
- A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification relevant work experience, 5 years of which must be in a senior management position in a reputable institution
- Must pass a competitive selection interview
- Availability of vacancy in the grade of Director, PRM&E
- A minimum of 5 years on the grade of Deputy Director, PRM&E
- Must have a satisfactory staff performance appraisal report
- Must pass a competitive selection interview

- Extensive knowledge and experience in PRM&E
- Extensive knowledge and understanding ethics, systems, operations and general protocols of the media
- Good leadership, networking, monitoring and management skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
