Under the guidance of the SBC Technical Lead, the District (Zone) Coordinator will be responsible for subnational implementation, coordination and supervision of programme activities within designated geographic areas. S/he will serve as the critical link between national-level technical leadership and community-level implementation, working in close collaboration with MoH, NAC, and the CHEP team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of program activities at the district level, including Social Behaviour Change (SBC) interventions for increased uptake of PrEP in collaboration with MoH and NAC;
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the communities, District Health Offices (DHOs), NAC, and the CHEP representatives;
- Coordinate the recruitment, training and ongoing mentorship of the project-supported community-based volunteers (CBVs) in collaboration with the health facility in-charges;
- Participate in the review, pre-testing, and implementation of Social & Behaviour Change interventions, ensuring fidelity to programme design;
- Facilitate the distribution and monitor the usage of SBC materials;
- Conduct regular site visits to assess program progress, identify implementation challenges and support adaptive solutions at field level;
- Collaborate with the DHO team and district-level stakeholders to plan and conduct community engagement events and stakeholder meetings to increase awareness and uptake of HIV prevention services, including LEN;
- Support routine data collection, validation, preparation and submission of quality and timely district-level report;
- Support the rapid LEN PrEP needs assessment in the designated districts in collaboration with the M&E Coordinator;
- Participate in the identification and documentation of best practices, lessons learnt, and success stories from ongoing implementation;
- Facilitate engagement with local stakeholders, including health facilities and community leaders, for demand creation and community mobilization.
