Financial Accountant

Job Description

Are you a finance professional with solid accounting experience who is looking to take the next step in a stable, hands-on environment? We are seeking an Accountant with strong technical foundations and the ability to work confidently across day-to-day accounting functions. The role offers exposure to end-to-end accounting and is well suited to someone who enjoys accuracy, structure, and ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Processing journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing monthly reporting and supporting year-end processes.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc accounting requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education

BCom degree (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA)

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification accounting experience

Skills

• Pastel (non-negotiable).
• Xero (preferred).
• Strong reconciliation and reporting capabilities.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
