We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead and oversee all operations of our engineering-based organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and technical leadership across the business.
This role requires a strong combination of engineering expertise, commercial acumen, and executive leadership capability. The General Manager will ensure the organisation delivers high-quality engineering solutions while maintaining profitability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve sustainable growth
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards
- Lead engineering, project management, operations, finance, and commercial teams
- Drive revenue growth through business development and strategic partnerships
- Manage P&L performance, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track operational and financial performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related field)
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in engineering or technical operations
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership or general management role
- Strong understanding of project-based engineering environments
- Proven experience managing P&L and driving financial performance
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional technical teams
