Laparoscopy Sales Representative

Job Description

The Laparoscopy Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and market development of laparoscopic (minimally invasive surgery) products within an assigned territory. The role focuses on building strong relationships with surgeons, theatre staff, procurement teams, and hospital management while providing technical and clinical support to ensure safe and effective product use.

Key Performance Areas

• Promote and sell the company’s Laparoscopy portfolio to public and private hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets for laparoscopic instruments, energy devices, and related consumables.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan to maximize revenue and market penetration.
• Identify new accounts and expand existing relationships within hospitals and surgical centers.
• Provide intra-operative support and troubleshooting during laparoscopic procedures as and when required.
• Support new product launches and trials.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on training for surgeons and OR staff.
• Holding frequent stock checks with purchasing officers in various institutions to ensure continuous stock availability as per user’s needs.
• Provide feedback from the field to management teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
• Carrying out market development activities to increase market coverage and products awareness in an effort of increasing market share in the areas assigned to you.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Business, or related field

Experience and Skills Required

• Over 5 years of experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical sales.
• Hands-on experience with laparoscopy, MIS, or surgical devices is strongly preferred.
• Experience selling to Surgeons, Nurses and other healthcare providers preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
