The Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across logistics functions by identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and ensuring optimal performance of supply chain systems. The role focuses on continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service delivery standards. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities who can assess existing logistics operations and implement structured improvement initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyze existing logistics processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization
  • Develop and implement improvement frameworks, tools, and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas requiring intervention
  • Design and implement process standardization strategies to ensure consistency across operations
  • Collaborate with warehouse, transport, and procurement teams to align improvement initiatives with operational goals
  • Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives by reducing waste and improving resource utilization
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making at both operational and strategic levels
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to track progress of improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate training and capacity building for staff on continuous improvement practices
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
  • Work closely with senior management to align improvement strategies with organizational objectives
  • Identify and implement technology solutions that enhance logistics operations
