Operations Officer - Nairobi

Job Description

We are looking for an **Operations Officer.**

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage end-to-end customs clearance processes, including documentation, compliance checks, and coordination with relevant authorities.
• Ensure all operations comply with local laws, international trade regulations, and company standards.
• Identify and control potential risks throughout the clearance and logistics process.
• Lead, guide, and support the operations team to achieve performance goals and service excellence.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, shipping lines, customs officials, and other stakeholders.
• Optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare and analyse operational reports to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in customs clearance and logistics operations.
• In-depth knowledge of Kenyan customs procedures, import/export regulations, and port operations.
• Strong risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) as the working language.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
