Operations Support Rider

Our client, an Africa-centred organization focused on re-engineering access to green energy through an affordable, sustainable, and customer-driven electricity network, is seeking to engage a motivated and customer-oriented Operations Support Rider for the safe and timely movement of batteries between warehouses and swap stations, and between swap stations.

Responsibilities

• Transport batteries from warehouses to swap stations according to dispatch schedule and ensure safe handling, loading, and securing of the batteries during transportation.
• Rebalance batteries between swap stations to match rider demand.
• Report damaged, faulty, or abnormal batteries immediately.
• Support general upkeep of swap stations ensuring they are clean, organized, and operational at all times.
• Perform basic visual inspections of cabinets, batteries, and station surroundings.
• Assist Field Operations teams during maintenance, installations, or site visits.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Ensure safe riding practices and compliance with traffic laws.
• Report accidents, near-misses, or safety hazards immediately.
• Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.
