About Organisation

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime. Established in 1997 through a merger between the United Nations Drug Control Programme and the Centre for International Crime Prevention, UNODC operates in all regions of the world through an extensive network of field offices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Programme Management Officer, The UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
  • Maintain and update internal databases, websites and social media platforms
  • Draft, edit and design communication content aligned with UN standards
  • Research and compile information for communication outputs
  • Coordinate media coverage and public information activities
  • Support multimedia production (photo, video, audio, online content)
  • Contribute to planning and organization of visibility events and outreach activities
  • Liaise with media, partners and stakeholders
  • Support administrative and logistical processes including procurement and budget tracking
  • Contribute to communication strategies, newsletters and publications
  • Support data collection, analysis, reporting and knowledge management
  • Ensure branding and visibility compliance
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Age

  • 18-80
  • Required experience
  • 3 years

Nationality

  • Candidate must be a national, legal resident or hold refugee status in the country of assignment.

Languages

  • English, Level: Fluent, Required

Education

  • Required education level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, media, public relations, social sciences.
