Provision of Fiber Connectivity and Local Area Network (LAN) Infrastructure at the National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI)-Mukono Kituza

Introduction

The Government of Uganda through National Agricultural Research Organisation allocated funds for acquisition of:

• Lot 1 – Provision of Last-Mile Fiber Connectivity to National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI)-Mukono Kituza
• Lot 2 – Supply, Installation and Configuration of Local Area Network (LAN) Infrastructure at the National Coffee Research Institute NaCORI-Mukono Kituza

The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above non-consultancy services.

Bidding Process

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and the regulations made under the act and is open to all bidders.

Obtaining Bidding Documents

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the email provided below at 8(b) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Bidding Document for the two (2) in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the email below at 8(c) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000. Payment will be made to Uganda Revenue Authority through any convenient commercial bank by obtaining a Bank Payment Advice Form from the URA website.

Submission of Bids

Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(d) on or before 7th May 2026 at 11:00 am. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration for local firms and bid securities from a commercial bank recognised by bank of Uganda for foreign firms as mentioned below:

• Lot 1: Last-Mile Fiber Connectivity of the National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI) to the nearest National Backbone Infrastructure (NBI) Point of Presence (PoP) - Bid Security amount in Ugx: 10,000,000
• Lot 2: Supply, Installation and Configuration of Local Area Network (LAN) Infrastructure at the National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI) - Bid Security amount in Ugx: 4,000,000

Bid securities must be valid until 2nd November 2026.

Pre-bid Meeting/Site Visit

There shall be a pre-bid meeting/site visit at National Coffee Research Institute - Mukono Kituza on 28th April 2026 at 10:00am.

Bid Opening

Bidders should note the following:

• a) Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(e) on 7th May 2026 at 11:30 am.
• Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids shall be rejected.
