The Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Officer to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda. The Training Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for peacekeepers, security forces, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and capacity building, with experience in developing and delivering training programs for peacekeeping and security forces. The Training Officer will work closely with the Institute's team to design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for peacekeepers, security forces, and other stakeholders
• Conduct training needs assessments and develop training plans
• Collaborate with the Institute's team to design and deliver training programs
• Provide technical assistance and support to training programs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. education, training, peace and security)
• At least 3 years of experience in training and capacity building
• Strong background in peacekeeping and security
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and French
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
