WORK STATION: Nairobi, Kenya

We are seeking to recruit an aggressive sales driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales, marketing and maintaining stock assigned to them from time to time. This role requires a candidate with passion in sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

a) Distribution activities;

  • Transport LPG cylinders to customers, warehouses and shops in a safe and efficient manner
  • Providing excellent customer service and building trust with customers
  • Ensuring that the delivery vehicle is in good condition and is properly maintained at all times.
  • Adhere to all Government regulations on traffic and EPRA as well as company policies
  • Prepare, process and maintain all delivery documents both hard and soft copies.
  • Represent the company's values to customers and the public
  • Collect payments and provide receipts in accordance with the company guideline.
  • Report defects, accidents, incidences or violations on time for immediate action.

b) Sales Activities

  • Perform all sales related activities
  • Create, maintain and collect customer orders and process them in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that sales targets are as planned by the Company and achieved.
  • Monitor competition strategies and advise the line managers accordingly.
  • Keep up to date records of sales and be ready to produce them as may be required.
  • Ensure full product awareness to both existing and new customers all the time.
  • Manage customers expectation and ensure end to end and timely deliveries.
  • Establish a good work relationship with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Grow the market share and provide support in various logical and general administrative duties.

c) Stock Control and Management

  • Manage and control all stock movements (in and out) of gas, cylinders, and accessories.
  • Prepare daily sales report on the stock movements and send them to the line manager
  • Immediately report any discrepancies discovered at the point of sales to the line manager.
  • Maintain all stock related paperwork to meet audit requirement.
  • Ensure that the sale point adhere to various handling standards and legal regulations
  • And any other duties as may be assigned by line manager from time to time.

Requirements

  • At least ‘O’ level of education.
  • Diploma in sales and marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Practical experience in van sales, preferably with direct experience in selling LPG.
  • Good Oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in using sales applications.
  • Strong knowledge of the Nairobi/Kajiado market, with prior sales experience in the region will be an added advantage.
