Job Purpose
The Salesperson — Networks & Security Solutions is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of integrated ICT infrastructure and security solutions. This includes network systems, structured cabling, CCTV surveillance, access control, and related technologies.
The role focuses on identifying client needs, designing end-to-end solutions, and managing the full sales cycle, while ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across ICT infrastructure and security systems.
- Promote and sell integrated solutions including:
- LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
- Structured cabling (Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optics)
- Network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- CCTV surveillance systems
- Access control systems (biometric, card-based, integrated security systems)
- Cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure solutions
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
B. Client Engagement & Needs Analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and partners.
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and needs assessments to understand infrastructure and security requirements.
- Advise clients on best-fit solutions based on scalability, cost, compliance, and operational needs.
C. Solution Design & Technical Sales
- Collaborate with technical/pre-sales teams to design integrated networking and security solutions.
- Interpret technical requirements and translate them into clear, value-driven business proposals.
- Ensure all solutions align with industry standards and best practices (networking, cabling, and electronic security systems).
D. Proposal Development & Presentation
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and technical presentations tailored to client needs.
- Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and compliant with client specifications.
- Present solutions to clients and stakeholders in a professional and persuasive manner.
E. Negotiation & Deal Closure
- Lead contract negotiations and close deals in line with company pricing and profitability guidelines.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover to implementation teams.
F. Market Intelligence & Industry Awareness
- Monitor trends in ICT infrastructure, physical security systems, and emerging technologies.
- Stay updated on advancements in:
- Smart surveillance systems
- Integrated security platforms
- Cloud-managed networks
- Fiber and high-speed connectivity solutions
- Track competitor activities and provide market insights.
G. After-Sales Support & Account Management
- Ensure smooth project handover and support during implementation phases.
- Maintain ongoing client engagement to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities for maintenance contracts, upgrades, and additional services.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Number and value of projects secured (networks + security solutions)
- Sales pipeline growth and conversion rate
- Customer acquisition and retention rates
- Accuracy of sales forecasts
- Client satisfaction and repeat business
- Contribution to overall company revenue
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ICT infrastructure, networking, or security systems sales.
- Proven track record in selling integrated solutions (networking, cabling, CCTV, access control).
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Network systems (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, wireless solutions)
- Structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optics)
- CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVR/DVR, surveillance design)
- Access control systems (biometric, RFID, integrated systems)
- Understanding of infrastructure design, site surveys, and system integration.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, and project specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
