Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve all business development and sales targets as cascaded by the Portfolio Manager.
- Drive growth across all CPFAM products by increasing Funds Under Management (FUM), product revenue, client numbers, and client retention.
- Identify, capture, and actively pursue all sales opportunities, including referrals, to maximize business conversion.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to implement corporate strategies, plans, forecasts, and reports in line with the Company’s Strategic Plan.
- Formulate and execute business development, sales, and marketing plans to grow the customer base and expand distribution channels.
- Prepare and submit weekly business development performance reports to the Portfolio Manager.
- Prepare monthly commission schedules for payable agents and advisors.
Sales, Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Develop and implement a sales and marketing calendar of events to promote CPFAM products within the target market, aligned with the approved annual marketing budget.
- Present CPFAM products to prospective clients through face-to-face meetings, virtual engagements, telephone calls, and email communication.
- Represent CPFAM at meetings, industry events, and trade shows to generate new business leads and strengthen market presence.
Advisor, Agent & Staff Management
- Recruit, develop, manage, and mentor Financial Advisors, Agents, and CPF staff to achieve sales budgets and activity targets.
- Support continuous capacity building of advisors and agents through coaching, performance monitoring, and structured training initiatives.
Client Relationship & Service Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, partners, professionals, the business community, and relevant government agencies.
- Monitor and address clients’ investment needs to ensure appropriate solutions and sustained satisfaction.
- Ensure clients receive account statements and related communications in a timely manner.
Client Onboarding & Compliance
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients by coordinating the collection and verification of all required KYC documentation in line with regulatory and internal policies.
Professional Development & Other Duties
- Maintain continuous personal and professional development to meet the evolving demands of the role.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics, or any other related field.
- At least CISI level 2 qualification
- CFA and CIFA Students will have an added advantage.
- At least 5 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector
