Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Gallery Managerwill assist in maintaining;
  • Management of gallery information technology and communications (ICT)
  • Operation of audio-visual equipment
  • Maintenance of gallery website and social media platforms
  • Assistance to gallery manager of day-to day operations of the NAG
  • Gallery public relations management
  • Developing client lists and databases
  • of gallery pieces
  • Planning, organizing and marketing exhibitions and shows
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the gallery
  • Organizing workshops and seminars

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 (Form VI) Certificate
  • Minimum of a diploma awarded by a recognized institution in any recognized area of Visual Arts and Crafts.
  • A degree in Fine Arts will be an added advantage
  • Relevant work experience of at least 2 years for the Assistant Gallery Manager
  • Member of the Visual Arts Council (VAC)
