Job Summary:
The Head of Information Technology will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of World Vision Rwanda's information technology strategy, ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with World Vision Rwanda's overall goals and objectives
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and systems
- Manage the IT budget and resources, ensuring effective use of resources and optimal return on investment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that technology is used to support the organization's programs and services
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's technology infrastructure
- Supervise and mentor IT staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT operations, ensuring compliance with World Vision Rwanda's policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and implement the organization's overall strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a proven track record of success
- Strong technical skills, including experience with hardware, software, and network systems
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire IT staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and quality in all work
- Ability to travel, with occasional overnight stays
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures
