Job Purpose

Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their in the beauty, skincare and wellness industry is seeking a strategic and performance-driven Human Resources Business Partner to design, strengthen, and implement the company’s people strategy across all markets. The role will focus on organizational design, performance management, leadership effectiveness, and talent governance to support company growth and ensure a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company-wide accountability chart and organizational structure.
  • Align structure and workforce planning to revenue targets and growth plans.
  • Approve new roles before recruitment begins.
  • Drive succession planning and leadership bench development.
  • Lead hiring for senior and critical roles across markets.
  • Ensure structured, competency-based interview processes are used.
  • Maintain hiring quality and discipline aligned to performance standards.
  • Partner with department heads on role design, success profiles, and hiring priorities.
  • Approve job descriptions and ensure role clarity before recruitment.
  • Own and manage company-wide performance management cycles.
  • Support managers and employees in applying performance frameworks.
  • Analyze performance results and recommend development initiatives.
  • Coach Heads of Department on structure, performance issues, and capability gaps.
  • Align people strategy with overall business and commercial strategy.
  • Oversee implementation of salary structures and job grading frameworks.
  • Ensure internal equity, structured progression, and pay discipline.
  • Oversee salary and bonus decisions aligned with performance and budgets.
  • Act as a strategic HR partner to leadership.
  • Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and workplace matters.
  • Lead resolution of complex employee issues and oversee performance improvement processes.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and performance standards.
  • Manage employee engagement (eNPS) and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop action plans linked to performance and engagement outcomes.
  • Strengthen leadership and manager effectiveness across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a strategic HR role.
  • Professional HR certification such as IHRM, SHRM, CIPD, or HRCI is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management frameworks.
  • Experience in compensation structures, job grading, and salary bench-marking.
  • Proven experience handling employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and advising management on people strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience using HR systems, performance management systems, and HR analytics tools.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to align HR strategy with business and commercial objectives.
