Our Client, Softcare Zambia Limited in the Manufacturing Industry, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

1. Safety Specialist (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and conduct safety training and education programs
• Lead daily safety meetings (toolbox talks/morning briefings)
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits
• Monitor compliance with safety standards and PPE usage
• Enforce workplace safety regulations, including alcohol prohibition during work
• Report hazards and recommend corrective actions

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction safety management
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Certification in safety (added advantage)

2. Bricklayers (10 Positions)

(Masonry, Plastering, and Tiling)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out bricklaying, block work, plastering, and tiling tasks as per project specifications
• Interpret construction drawings and ensure accurate implementation
• Maintain quality workmanship and adhere to project timelines
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures on-site

Requirements:

• Grade 9 or Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in masonry, plastering, and tiling
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and quality

3. Plumbers (5 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications
• Detect and troubleshoot plumbing faults
• Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations
• Conduct routine maintenance checks

Requirements:

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Plumbing
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team

4. Electricians (5 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
• Interpret electrical drawings and technical diagrams
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance

Requirements:

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Valid practicing license (added advantage)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

5. Surveyor (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site setting-out and surveying activities
• Operate surveying equipment such as RTK, GPS, Total Station, and Level
• Interpret and work from CAD drawings
• Ensure accuracy of measurements and data collection
• Prepare and maintain survey reports and records

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field
• Proven experience in construction surveying
• Proficiency in using RTK, GPS, Total Station, and Level
• Strong understanding of CAD drawings
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
