SECURITY GUARDING CONTROLLER

We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Security Guarding Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of our security guarding function within the Severance and Security Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, supervision, and performance management of all security guard personnel, ensuring strict adherence to protocols, compliance with Zambian labour and security regulations, and the safeguarding of company assets and personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the deployment of security guards across all designated sites and posts
• Maintain accurate duty rosters, attendance records, and shift schedules to ensure 24/7 operational coverage
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of guard posts to verify compliance with standing orders and operational procedures
• Manage the severance and exit procedures for security personnel, including documentation, handover, and clearance processes
• Liaise with site managers, HR, and legal teams on disciplinary, grievance, and separation matters
• Identify training needs and coordinate refresher courses, drills, and certification renewals for guarding staff
• Prepare incident reports, intelligence briefings, and monthly performance summaries for senior management
• Ensure compliance with the Private Security Act of Zambia and relevant labour legislation
• Monitor and control the issuance and accountability of security equipment, uniforms, and access credentials

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 School Certificate (essential)
• Diploma or Certificate in Security Management, Law Enforcement, or related field
• Minimum 1 year in a security supervisory or controller role
• Prior experience managing severance or HR exit processes
• Sound knowledge of Zambian labour law and security regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office and security management systems
• Valid driver's licence (advantageous)
