Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team in Mityana, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with the clinical team to ensure the delivery of excellent patient outcomes, and contributing to the development of the nursing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as required.
  • Fluency in English and Luganda languages.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the nursing department.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a challenging environment.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and respect the rights and dignity of patients.
  • Strong commitment to upholding the values and principles of the organization.
