How does the matching engine work?

You upload your CV once. Our AI parses your skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic eligibility. Every time a new job is published on the platform — across the 27 country markets we track — we score it against your profile. Anything scoring 75% or higher triggers a notification on your preferred channel: email, WhatsApp, or Telegram. You never have to scroll through irrelevant listings again. The score is advisory; the application decision is always yours.

Is My Job Concierge free to use?

The core matching engine, job alerts, and country job boards are completely free. You can browse, get notified, and apply at no cost. Paid features add depth: the CV Gap Filler rewrites your CV against a specific job description; Interview Prep runs a recorded mock interview with AI scoring; MJC Assess delivers timed psychometric tests with norm-referenced scoring. Each is pay-per-use — no subscription, no surprises.

Which countries does MJC operate in?

We currently track jobs across 27 markets, including Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, DRC, Benin, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Each country has its own subdomain (ug.myjobconcierge.com, ke.myjobconcierge.com, etc.) so you only ever see jobs you can actually apply for. Remote-from-anywhere roles surface everywhere.

How are scraped jobs verified?

Jobs from external boards are de-duplicated against our database, normalised through a structured-output AI pipeline, and held in a pending queue until a human reviewer publishes them. Anything that fails our quality checks — broken application URLs, missing key fields, suspected scams — is rejected automatically. Roughly 70% of incoming scraped jobs pass review; the rest are filtered out before they ever appear on the public site.

Can I apply directly through MJC, or do I have to go to the employer's site?

Both. Jobs posted directly by employers via our verified employer pipeline accept applications through our own form — your CV and a short cover letter go straight to the recruiter. Jobs aggregated from external boards link out to the employer's application portal. Either way, you can use our AI tools to tailor your CV first.

What's the difference between the CV Gap Filler and a CV rewrite?

A CV rewrite gives you a generic polished CV. The CV Gap Filler is different: it takes your existing CV, a specific job description, and the gaps between them, then asks you targeted questions section-by-section to fill the gaps with truthful, evidence-led content — not generic keyword stuffing. Output is one tailored CV per job, with citations to the JD competencies you've evidenced.

How does MJC Assess help me prepare for a real psychometric test?

MJC Assess runs the same item formats real employers use — numerical, verbal, abstract, logical reasoning, situational judgement, leadership potential, Big Five personality. Each test is timed, scored against published norm tables, and produces a norm-referenced report that explains where you sit relative to the population. It's practice that mirrors the real thing, not a watered-down version.

What data does MJC collect, and how is it protected?

Account details, your CV and uploaded documents, conversation history with our AI coaches, and basic technical/usage data. Everything is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We never sell data. AI providers process prompts transiently and do not train on your content. Full detail in our Privacy Policy; full deletion procedure in our Data Deletion Policy.

How do I post a job as an employer?

Visit myjobconcierge.com/employers, register your company, verify the email, and start posting. Free for the first listings; pricing available on request. We also accept job adverts via email at support@myjobconcierge.com — our inbound pipeline parses the email, extracts structured fields, and publishes after your verification. Optional add-on: AI-shortlisted top-10 candidates emailed to you once applications start arriving.

How do I unsubscribe from job alerts?

Every email and message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also sign in and adjust your notification preferences in your account dashboard, or email us at andeh@myjobconcierge.com to opt out entirely. Suppression is honoured immediately.

Do you offer career coaching beyond AI tools?

Yes. Our AI Career Coach is available 24/7 for voice and text coaching using the ACC framework (Awareness, Commitment, Change).
