About the Role

Fedics is seeking a Catering Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational management of a Key Account. Responsibilities include maintaining high-quality standards, managing client relations, performing site visits, supporting and developing the site management team, ensuring budgeted costings and growth targets are met, and adhering to best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility and management of the unit
• Work in a demanding environment
• Set and manage service delivery standards
• Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of staff
• Implement and maintain operational controls within budget
• Ensure quality of food preparation, presentation, and service
• Comply with Fedics policies and procedures
• Handle daily HR and IR issues
• Analyze and pre-empt client needs and possible complaints
• Manage all administration, finances, debtors, budgets, etc.
• Process Fedics paperwork and compile weekly & monthly P & L
• Build relationships with clients and customers
• Work long hours and over weekends when needed
• Stay abreast of food trends and best practices

Qualifications

• Matric and Culinary Tertiary qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role/management experience
• Familiarity with accounting systems
• Previous experience in the Healthwise Space (advantageous)
• Own reliable transport
