Responsibilities
- Take good quality chest X-ray images of migrants following IOM and international radiographic standards.
- Explain X-ray examination procedures to applicants and answer questions.
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, perform ID checking, and label radiographic images.
- Apply proper radiographic techniques and radiation protection procedures during X-ray taking.
- Process digital images, review image quality, and report important/urgent information to Radiologists and/or Physicians.
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality chest X-rays and act as quality assurance focal person for the X-ray Unit.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Radiologic Technology from an accredited academic institution.
- Valid license to practice Radiography, if applicable.
Experience
- Three years for Bachelor degree holders and Five years for diploma holders working experience in radiography, especially Chest X-Ray.
- Knowledge and experience in radiographic techniques, radiographic procedure, radiologic safety, and quality management process.
- Knowledge on digital machines and experience in radiology information systems and Picture archiving and communication systems.
- Experience in screening chest X-ray and Health Assessment Programs.
Skills
- Leadership skills (desirable);

- Good computer skill, especially in Microsoft Excel.
Languages
- Fluency in French (oral and written) is required.
- Knowledge of English and local language is an advantage.
Travel Required
Travel within Guinea may be required depending on operational needs.

- IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy.
- Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accidents or illnesses.
