Job Summary
The chefs are responsible for supervising kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, managing kitchen staff, controlling food costs, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and standardise recipes and menu offerings.
- Supervise cooks and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and taste.
- Monitor food costs and minimize wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory and kitchen supplies.
- Coordinate kitchen operations during peak service periods.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
- Handle customer feedback relating to food quality.
- Ensure efficient utilisation of kitchen resources.
- Maintain a safe and organised kitchen environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Culinary certification or relevant hospitality qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Chef or Senior Cook.
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations is preferred.
