DC Operations Manager - eCommerce

<p>TFG’s Riverfields Distribution Centre (DC) is a critical enabler of our growing eCommerce business, delivering exceptional service, speed and operational excellence to our customers. We are looking for an experienced DC Operations Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end distribution centre operations, ensuring efficient fulfilment, inventory management, people leadership, safety, and service delivery across our eCommerce operation. The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Transport, Systems, Merchandising and Store Operations teams to drive operational performance, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong operational leader with proven distribution centre management experience, the ability to lead large teams, manage complexity in a fast-paced environment and deliver sustainable operational efficiencies while maintaining excellent service levels</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 50.67px;"><li><span lang="EN-US">8-10 years’ experience within supply chain, warehousing, logistics or distribution centre operations.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">At least 5 years’ leadership experience managing large operational teams within a high-volume distribution centre environment.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Experience within eCommerce fulfilment operations would be highly advantageous.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control and operational reporting.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Demonstrated experience managing productivity, service level agreements, labour planning and operational budgets.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and distribution centre compliance requirements.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across operational and support functions.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to make data-driven decisions.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Excellent communication, leadership and people development skills.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Advantageous: As we have Deaf employees within the organisation, an interest in and ability to learn South African Sign Language (SASL) would be advantageous and would support effective communication and workplace inclusion.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.</span></li><li><span lang="EN-US">A relevant degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.</span></li></ul><p><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Key Competencies</strong></span></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;
