The Driver Extra Heavy will be responsible to ensure the timeous and efficient delivery of all products from the Durban Wheat Mill.

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Must have valid Code 14 driver’s license
  • PDP (it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure their PDP is renewed timeously each year)

Experience Requirements

2-3 years in a similar role

Skills and Competencies

  • Truck housekeeping – ensuring trucks are neat and clean at all times
  • Incident and accident reporting – ensuring all incidents and accidents are reported to management timeously
  • POD control – all POD’s to be signed, stamped and accounted for
  • Fuel consumptions – meet targets set by the company
  • Stock control – Offloading of flour at customers
  • Daily Vehicle Checklists – trucks to be checked daily, checklists completed, defects reported and signed and handed to the fleet controller/supervisor
  • Document control – POD’s, fuel slips, toll slips, trip sheets, etc
