FEDICS is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and customer-focused Food Services Assistant to join our Catering Team. The successful candidate will support the daily food service operation by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive dining experience for students, staff, and visitors. Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Serve food in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure serving areas are clean, stocked, and ready for service.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning of kitchen equipment, and general housekeeping duties.
• Receive and store stock according to food safety requirements.
• Support catering functions and special events as required.
• Follow portion control and food handling procedures.
• Report maintenance, stock, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure efficient service delivery.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts when required.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Previous experience in a food service, catering, hospitality, or kitchen environment will be advantageous.
