  • Inventory & Bill of Materials (BOM) Verification: Audit the QuickBooks Inventory Management system. Verify that raw materials, assemblies, and finished goods are tracked accurately, and reconcile system data with physical warehouse counts to minimize shrinkage.
  • Procurement & Vendor Controls: Review QuickBooks purchasing cycles—including Purchase Orders (POs), Item Receipts, and Vendor Bills—to identify discrepancies, unauthorized pricing changes, or duplicate payments.
  • Revenue Assurance: Audit customer invoices, sales orders, and credit memos within QuickBooks to ensure all sales revenue from distributors and retailers is captured accurately and promptly.
  • Journal Entry & Review: Audit manual journal entries, bank reconciliations, and credit card accounts within QuickBooks to detect unusual transactions, unauthorized adjustments, or errors.
  • Reporting & Recommendations: Prepare clear, concise, and objective audit reports outlining findings, risks, and practical, cost-effective recommendations to strengthen system and operational controls.
  • Action Item Follow-up: Monitor and verify the implementation of agreed-upon management corrective actions to ensure identified risks are properly mitigated.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks Expertise: Advanced proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks (specifically QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or QuickBooks Online Advanced) is strictly required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of internal/external audit or senior accounting experience, with at least 2 years utilizing QuickBooks in a manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG environment.
  • Certification: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CPA/ACCA designations will be highly preferred.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • QuickBooks Systems Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of QuickBooks workflows, inventory assemblies, multi-currency features, and user permission controls.
  • FMCG Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fast-moving consumer goods dynamics, including stock rotation (FIFO), distributor networks, and trade margins.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify system workarounds that pose a risk.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present sensitive audit findings to department heads.
  • Integrity & Objectivity: A high level of professional ethics, independence, and attention to detail.
