Responsibilities
- Crafting Signature Cocktails:
- Design and create unique, high-quality cocktails tailored to the restaurant’s concept.
- Use premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and advanced techniques (infusions, smoking, clarification).
- Ensure drinks complement the menu (pairing with starters, mains, desserts).
- Maintaining High Presentation Standards
- Serve drinks with elegance and consistency.
- Pay attention to:
- Glassware selection
- Garnish detail
- Color balance and aesthetics
- Every cocktail should reflect fine dining quality and visual appeal.
- Guest Experience & Interaction
- Engage guests professionally and confidently.
- Recommend drinks based on guest preferences.
- Explain cocktail ingredients, origins, and flavor profiles.
- Personalize drinks when needed.
- Menu Development & Innovation
- Regularly update cocktail menus to keep them fresh and seasonal.
- Introduce:
- Signature house cocktails
- Tasting menus or pairing drinks
- Stay updated with global mixology trends.
- Beverage Pairing Expertise
- Work closely with chefs to pair cocktails with dishes.
- Understand:
- Flavor balance (sweet, bitter, sour, umami)
- Texture and aroma
- Enhance the overall dining experience through thoughtful pairings.
- Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels of spirits, mixers, and garnishes.
- Reduce wastage and control portion sizes.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management.
- Bar Operations & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic bar area.
- Follow fine dining standards for:
- Equipment handling
- Sanitation
- Ensure all tools are polished and in excellent condition.
- Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to alcohol service laws and responsible serving practices.
- Verify age requirements where applicable.
- Avoid over-serving guests.
