Job Title: Storekeeper
Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all stock items (food, beverages, cleaning supplies, equipment, etc.)
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts
- Track stock movement (inflow and outflow).
- Receiving and Inspection of Goods:
- Receive deliveries from suppliers
- Verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management or procurement
- Ensure all goods received meet quality and hygiene standards
- Storage and Organization:
- Ensure proper storage of items (FIFO – First In, First Out method)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Ensure proper labeling and arrangement of stock
- Monitor storage conditions (temperature, ventilation, safety).
- Issuance of Goods:
- Issue materials to departments (kitchen, bar, housekeeping, etc.) based on approved requisitions
- Record all issued items accurately
- Ensure no unauthorized removal of stock.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain stock cards, bin cards, or digital inventory systems
- Keep records of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
- Prepare inventory reports for management review
- Support audit processes and stock verification.
- Coordination with Departments:
- Work closely with procurement, kitchen, bar, and accounts departments
- Communicate stock shortages or excess inventory
- Assist in forecasting demand based on usage patterns.
- Loss Prevention and Control:
- Identify and report slow-moving, expired, or damaged goods
- Implement measures to prevent theft, pilferage, or wastage
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND qualification with 2 - 4 years experience.
