About Us: We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our Finance team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial reporting across a diverse operational business. Reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager, you will partner closely with operational and finance teams to provide meaningful financial insights, strengthen controls, and support strategic decision making. Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, analysis, and commentary against budgets and forecasts.
- Managing the month end process and driving the quality of profit and loss reporting.
- Leading, coaching, and developing finance team members to achieve high performance.
- Preparing and reviewing forecasts, budgets, journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Monitoring debtors, cash flow inputs, and financial performance across multiple business units.
- Driving compliance with finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Reviewing supplier statements, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing business review packs and providing meaningful financial insights to operational stakeholders.
- Supporting internal and external audit processes.
- Managing the annual budgeting process and ensuring delivery within deadlines.
- Reviewing and submitting monthly VAT reasonability assessments and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong financial analysis, reconciliation and reporting ability
- Solid budgeting, forecasting and debtor management
- Advanced Excel; experience with Dynamics AX an advantage
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and people-management skills
Qualifications
- BCom degree or equivalent 5 years’ experience in a related finance role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Financial Controller role
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Experience with Dynamics AX or similar ERP system (advantageous)
