Job Description

Xclusive Uganda is hiring a Grower to oversee and optimize the entire plant-growing process to ensure healthy cuttings, high yields, and efficient operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring and implementing growing strategies.
• Carrying out and analyzing samples to maintain a healthy plant.
• Monitoring radiation.
• Identifying pests and disease in the Greenhouse.
• Ensuring that the planting protocols are followed as per specification.
• Ensuring that plant correction is done in time.
• Ensuring efficient and effective use of resources provided and reporting of weights and shortages on time.
• Coaching and monitoring growing team (sprayers, in charges and scouters)
• Efficient use of the sprayers PPE’s (Personal protective equipments).
• Compiling and forwarding monthly bonus for the sprayers’ PPE usage to the production manager and accounts.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture.
• A minimum experience of 3 years and above working in related field.
• Strong managerial skills.
• Good communication, planning and organizing a team.
• Good at delegating and monitoring.
